Vacuum Excavation

Our Vacuum Excavator units will allow our crews to safely uncover buried utilities, or dig in an area congested with many utility lines without the risk of damage associated with a backhoe, hand auger, or shovel. Vacuum excavation uses high pressure water or air to loosen the soil around a utility or in the area of excavation. A vacuum hose removes the slurry from the exploratory hole into a holding tank.

Why use Vacuum Excavation?

During Environmental soil sampling many companies must hand auger the first 5 feet to assure no utilities are present. At times even hand auguring can cause damage to sensitive underground facilities such as petroleum product lines. By using vacuum excavation you will assure facilities are not damaged and you can clear more exploratory holes, especially in difficult soils.

Aid environmental contractors to contain, transport and dispose of fluids quickly, efficiently and remain in compliance with all environmental regulations.

Provide an exact depth measurements on a utility. Standard locating techniques, and even GPR, can only provide an estimated depth. Using Vacuum Excavation to safely expose the utility can provide an exact depth measurement.

Dig in areas that traditional excavation equipment simply can not, due to obstructions in the area.

Excavate areas without the mess that is normally associated with traditional excavation, since the contents are removed to a holding tank instead of deposited on site.
