Would you buy a used car without taking it for a test drive
to check for obvious flaws? Would you
buy an existing house without having a professional inspection completed? Many municipalities do this with their
infrastructure: Trusting the developer or contractor when turning over
ownership of a new development's infrastructure can be risky. By employing Blood Hound's team of
professional, certified sewer inspection operators, you will not have to assume
your sewer lines are installed correctly.
A video along with a full pipe condition report can protect your town or
city from future unforeseen issues that can cost tens of thousands of dollars
to repair. Additionally, the Blood Hound
team can map the location of the lines and provide a CAD file with all the
pertinent information from the inspection.
Another area to keep an eye on is the state of your lines. With
the upgrade of communication lines throughout the United States, can you be
sure your sewer lines (sanitary and storm) have not had intrusions because of
negligent installation methods? In the
example below, our team found a fiber optic inner duct line that had been
pushed through the sewer line while new lines were being installed. The repair to this line was more than
$25,000! Our customer could prove that
they DID NOT cause the damage to the line as this was done during a
pre-inspection of the lines before excavation.
This situation, and countless others, can be avoided with the proper
locating and visual inspection of the sewer lines prior to excavation
activities.
